I was using the wordpress statpress plugin, but I was doing some database maintenance and noticed how many records were in the statpress table. It had around 60,000 items. I quickly disabled the plugin and dropped the table out of my database. I decided I would stick with Google analytics. My site is so much faster now. This really stinks, statpress was one of my top ten plugins
I probably could have emptied the table, but what is the point of a web stats plugin if you can’t keep a full history of your visitors. Right?

I just wanted to let you and your readers know that I've released my first round of updates to StatPress at http://www.poundbangwhack.com/2010/07/03/improve-.... I have already noticed a significant improvement in the speed of my StatPress plugin page and my blog itself. I'm currently running with over 125,000 rows in my table and, like I said, have seen significant improvement. If you feel like trying it out again, have a go. Let me know how it works.
