Photoshop CS4 Crash When Saving File

Problem:

Create a JPEG image in Photoshop CS4, and then try to ’save the image as’ a filetype, the program crashes and brings up the ‘Send MS Error Report’ dialogue box.

* Uninstalled PS CS4 and then re-installed it. (does not fix this)
* Uninstalled .Net 2 and re-installed and applied all service packs (does not fix this)

Solution:

Disable Version Cue in the Preferences dialogue. Works for both CS3 and CS4 version of Photoshop.
