I can remote control PCs, Macs, and Linux boxes locally. I’ve never been able to remote control using Logmein because of the java that was slow to refresh the page. Logmein’s Labs now have a beta Firefox extension for your remote control needs. Check it out, https://secure.logmein.com/labs.asp. I downloaded it, and tried to install it and it locked up my system, but don’t fear. I had to do a hard reboot, and everything is working fine. The plugin is great. I’m so glad logmein finally listened to its costumers.
The Linux browser plugin allows you to access LogMeIn computers from any Linux-based, LSB 3.1 compatible distribution, including:
* Asus Eee laptops
* Ubuntu 7.10 and above
* OpenSUSE 10.3 and above
* gOS
* etc.A 32-bit x86 version of Firefox 2.x or 3.0 is required.

Man, that worked great! I have played with linux here and there since 2000 but have just made the switch (for real). This was one of the tools that I couldn’t get working right. It didn’t even lock my system up. Perhaps it has been patched or something.

you think I could get a digg or two out of this post?
